How Redact Began

During an outdoor camping trip in North America, the founding team of Redact encountered an unexpected power outage. Their essential devices, from lights to cooking equipment, could not operate, and the lack of a reliable power source forced them to cut the trip short. This experience made them realize that many people — whether for home backup, outdoor adventures, or small-scale construction projects — face the same challenge: the need for safe, portable, and long-lasting power.

After returning, the Redact team began extensive research and development, conducting countless experiments to improve traditional generator technology. They focused on creating a product that was not only powerful and fuel-efficient but also lightweight, quiet, and easy to carry. Eventually, they successfully launched their first portable inverter generator, delivering stable power for both emergencies and everyday use.

In 2014, Redact was officially established as a company, committed to advancing generator technology and offering reliable, innovative, and user-friendly portable power solutions to households and adventurers around the world.
